The King's Forest

Dense old-growth forest surrounding Splinter's Bend and the logging town of Waymoot. The logging road runs through a ravine where the Ettin maintained their barricade. The party is currently camped here as of the end of Session 01.

Session 02: Dense old-growth forest. The tracking hounds were noted as likely native to it — they departed after the encounter via a different route than they arrived, suggesting local knowledge of the woods.

Session 05: Silas retreated into the treeline and then vanished entirely. Two of his four thugs had emerged from the treeline at combat start.

Session 08: Revealed by royal clerk Maurice to be the site of the king's annual autumn hunting circuit. The circuit is never announced in advance and the king never uses the same lodge twice.
